Their 4,000 sq ft thin film coating lab equipped with 20 coating chambers ranging in size from 18” to 54” is entirely within a Class 1000 clean room, allowing Reynard Corporation to achieve the stringent performance requirements required by many of their customers. Reynard Corporation’s innovation and advancements for the design and manufacturing of thin film optical components has earned them the reputation as one of the world's leading production facilities for development.

Reynard Corporation’s custom thin film coatings range from 0.2um to 25um and support a wide variety of optical applications such as high-damage threshold, radiation hardened, high-reflectivity and cryogenic environments.

The company's capabilities are limitless, with state of the art design software and custom design tools. With over 30 years of continued custom design experience and over 1,000 pre-existing designs available, they are able to meet the coating requirements of today's rigorous specifications, while offering support for both prototype and production volumes. 

Aerospace, Defense & Military Optics

Reynard Corporation has all the facilities necessary to design, fabricate and qualify leading edge coatings for aerospace, defense and military applications. their precision optics are found in high performance systems that operate under extreme conditions.

Reynard Corporation is a leader in the production of made-to-print optical components. Their facility includes environmental testing equipment and the latest quality inspection equipment to measure against the most stringent MIL spec standards. 

Photolithography

 Reynard Corporation can pattern most coatings using standard photo resist technology with geometries as fine as 5.0 microns on glass, plastics and ceramics.  Applied patterns can be conductive, non-conductive, or transparent-conductive utilizing various materials to achieve the required characteristics. 

Optical & Mechanical Fabrication

Reynard Corporation’s in-house Fabrication Department allows for a turnkey solution from concept through to a finished deliverable.  A variety of optical and mechanical fabrication equipment allows for the production of a wide range of optical components for both hard and soft materials.  Custom shaping and sizing is achieved with the assistance of CNC machining and dicing, while high-precision surface finishing is accomplished either through spindle polishing for low volume/small optics or up to 96” CP’s for large quantities or massive optical elements.

Research & Development

Research and Development of custom thin film optical coatings from the UV to the Far IR and optical materials processing continues to be the cornerstone of Reynard Corporation's success. Continued advancements have come by Reynard Corporation’s innovation in thin film coatings. These improvements have been conducted through internal R & D, SBIR programs, commercial development projects and research partnerships.

Engineering Design Services

The Reynard Corporation Engineering team knows that optics rarely operate as stand-alone products. As a development partner, Reynard Corporation works closely with their customers to offer engineering design services that include optical, mechanical, and electrical solutions. Some of their designs include optical housing, motion controllers, passive and active mounts, software interfaces, and a rich history of custom and proprietary solutions.
