Quality Assurance Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5-10 years in Quality Assurance management role, including evidence of daily operational management and supervision of a Quality Assurance Department.
  • Keen understanding of quality processes / procedures / protocol including Material Review Board (MRB) and Non-Compliant Material Review (NCMR) activities
  • Experience with one or more of the following standards and related terminology /  nomenclature:
    • ISO 2859-1 (1999)
    • MIL-STD-105E
    • ANSI / ASQ Z1.4
  • Computer Skills: proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including Data Analysis Add-In or other equivalent statistical data analysis software) and Microsoft Word, email
  • Fluent [spoken / compositional] English skills required
  • Education: BA / BS preferred, not required
  • Permanent U.S. Resident
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage and lead up to five [5] Quality Assurance Technicians in execution of all QA related tasks and activities
  • Implement and maintain departmental Standard Operating Procedures and Forms as required
  • Prepare department annual budget and goals.
  • Prepare and annually review Job Descriptions for all Quality Assurance positions
  • Provide accurate, timely, and thorough status of active jobs in QA department
  • Resolve resource allocation and effectiveness issues within QA department
  • Establish and maintain a work environment that encourages and enhances productivity, communication, and progress.

Thin Film Process Engineer

BASIC FUNCTION:  The Thin Film Process Engineer provides technical process expertise and support for all vacuum deposition processes at Reynard Corporation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain robust vacuum thin film deposition processes for use in manufacture of vacuum-deposited thin film coatings.
  • Initiate and sustain continuous process improvement activities for processes supporting core product manufacture.
  • Support QA department in identification of process related root-cause failure analysis and corrective/preventative action activities.
  • Provide technical expertise to maintenance department as required for efficient, cost effective repair of existing systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 10 years experience in optical thin film coating process engineering. Individuals with process engineering experience in equivalent fields will also be considered.
  • Experience in deposition methods required to produce low-defect coatings using metal oxide, II-VI, and/or chalcogenide materials.
  • Demonstrated experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) concepts and methods.
  • Demonstrated experience in process automation methods and techniques.
  • Fluent in compositional and conversational English.
  • Education: BS degree in engineering
  • Permanent U.S. Resident
