The variable all dielectric beamsplitters are designed to split laser radiation in wavelength from the extreme UV to the Far IR. The catalog filters are coated on a standard fused silica substrate with a graded all dielectric beamsplitter coating. The substrate and coating have very low absorption.
As the filter is rotated, the ratio of R/T will vary from 10% to 90%. Thus it is possible to set any desired reflection / transmission ratios between 10% and 90%.
For eximer application the coating should be applied to Schlieren quality Dynasil 4100, Corning 7940 or Suprasil 1.
